APS Sponsored Events

The APS annually sponsors two large stamp shows; the Postal History Symposium; a StampCruise; Volunteer Work Week, as well as many educational events including our annual Summer Seminar! Feel free to use the links below and join us to meet fellow collectors, learn more about the hobby, or just have some fun.

APS STAMPSHOW - our largest event held every August hosts 150 dealers, nearly 15,000 pages of exhibits, a public auction, 50 societies, and more!
August 2016 StampShow visits Portland, Oregon.

APS AmeriStamp Expo - our second largest show held every winter usually in January/February hosts 75 dealers and 300 frames of exhibits.
March 3-5, 2017 AmeriStamp visits Reno, Nevada

Postal History Symposium - Hosted jointly with the American Philatelic Research Library, and the Smithsonian National Postal Museum since 2006.
The next Symposium will be held June 2–3, 2016 at the World Stamp Show-NY 2016. The theme is "How Postal Treaties Influenced Post Office Reforms" and the deadline to submit paper proposals is December 1, 2015.

Educational Events - including our annual Summer Seminar, Courses on the Road, Stamp Collecting 101, etc.

Volunteer Work Week - Come work with members and staff at the American Philatelic Center on projects for both the Society and the Library.
2016 Work Week is being held July 18-22, 2016.
